A curious chapter gives the Prologue of Moro, or Mara, Bishop of Amida (a Syriac writer whose works appear to have been lost), to his edition of the four Gospels in Greek, to which the writers appends as a curiosity the pericope of the woman taken in adultery (John 8) which Moro had inserted in the 89th canon; "it is not founded in other manuscripts" Book VIII, iii, gives the letter of Simeon of Beit-Arsham on the martyrs of Yemen, perhaps an apocryphal document.

Much has been written about the life of this mystic and ascetic and it is not known if this character really existed or if the story of her life is a fabrication – but does it matter if this is true or false?

This is all the more so because the Sector, in addition to being the unit responsible for international cultural conventions, will be required to continue to act to revise and/or adapt Member States’ domestic laws in order to translate international principles into national policies, to build the capacities that they need to compile files for nomination to the Lists relating to those instruments and to attend to the sustainable management of their cultural activities, goods and services.
