Marmara, Sea of
/ˈmɑːmərə/- a small sea in NW Turkey. Connected by the Bosporus to the Black Sea and by the Dardanelles to the Aegean, it separates European Turkey from Asian Turkey. In ancient times it was known as the Propontis.马尔马拉海（土耳其西北部一小面积海, 通过博斯普鲁斯海峡同黑海相连并通过达达尼尔海峡同爱琴海相连, 它把土耳其分隔为欧洲部分和亚洲部分; 古时称为普罗旁提斯）。
