Zurbarán
/ˌzʊəbəˈrɑːn,〈西〉θurbaˈran/- Zurbarán, Francisco de (1598-1664), Spanish painter. Official painter to Seville from 1628, he carried out commissions for many churches and for Philip IV, for whom he painted The Defence of Cadiz (1634) and the series The Labours of Hercules (1634).
