It is suggested that living cysticercus could be completely absorbed after anti cysticercus treatment and no sequelae followed.

There was no evidence of an effect on the incidence of adverse neuroradiological sequelae (severe periventricular haemorrhage and/or periventricular leucomalacia), or on the incidence of tachycardia.

There was no significant change in esophageal manometry. One patient had a gastric perforation, which was managed conservatively without sequelae.
