During the twelfth session of the Commission on Science and Technology for Development, the Global Alliance for ICT and Development, in cooperation with the Commission on Science and Technology for Development secretariat, ITU and the World Health Organization brought two key perspectives to the Commission: (a) on innovation, convergence and mobile technologies, with panel discussions held in Geneva on 26 May 2009 on mobile technology, convergence and social networking tools for development and poverty alleviation; and (b) on digital health, with a panel discussion on delivering innovation in global public health.
