As well, several delegations expressed support at this special session for Zambia’s proposal to establish a new Standing Committee to address the challenges related to international cooperation and assistance in the context of the Convention.

Section II, title X, article 328 of the Family Code states: “When the health, safety, morality or education of a minor are jeopardized or insufficiently protected owing to the immoral behaviour or disability of the father and mother or of the person accorded the right of guardianship, or when, owing to misconduct or unruly behaviour, a minor gives these individuals cause for very serious dissatisfaction or renders them incapable of exercising guidance, the juvenile judge may on his own initiative, at the behest of the public prosecutor or at the behest of the father, mother or guardian, rule that the minor shall, for a period not to extend beyond the date of his coming of age, be visited regularly by a social worker or placed on probation.

The proposed resource level reflects the combined effect of a decrease in the United Nations share of the full budget of ICSC from the 39 per cent calculated for 2010-2011 to the 33.4 per cent used for the biennium 2012-2013, as well as the decrease of the full budget of ICSC (ibid., para. 32.17).

The Ministers reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing dialogue among civilizations and religions, through supporting efforts made at the international level towards reducing confrontation, enhancing dialogue, promoting respect for diversity based on justice, fraternity and equality, and oppose all attempts of uniculturalism or the imposition of particular models of political, economic, social, legal or cultural systems, and promote dialogue among civilizations, culture of peace and inter-faith dialogue, which will contribute towards peace, security, stability and development.

He trusted that the proposed standards in the legislation had struck a balance between the risk posed to the public and practicability for the food trade to comply with the legislation.

These are the right of the individual to life, liberty, security of the person and enjoyment of property and the right not to be deprived thereof except by due process of law; the right of equality before the law and the protection of the law; the right of respect for private and family life; the right of equality of treatment from any public authority in the exercise of any functions; the right to join political parties and to express political views; the right of a parent or guardian to access a school of his own choice for the education of his child or ward; freedom of movement; freedom of conscience and religious belief and observance; freedom of thought and expression; freedom of association and assembly; and freedom of the press.

All in all, as shown in the succinct presentation by main lines of action, the achievements of the various actions undertaken in the communication and the information programme indicate that, in general, during the 18 months of implementing document 31 C/5, substantial progress has been made towards reaching the three principal strategic objectives which the Medium-Term Strategy for 2002-2007 (31 C/4) assigns to the Programme: (i) promoting the free flow of ideas and universal access to information; (ii) promoting the expression of pluralism and cultural diversity in the media and world information networks; and (iii) promoting access for all to information and communication technologies, especially in the public domain.

Despite changes in promotion procedures, due to their non-application, most often staff members who do benefit from a promotion obtain it (whether it is merited or not) thanks to the sympathy of their supervisors and not on an equitable basis.

The employment and activity equal to work means work performed in Estonia or as an employee sent from Estonia on assignment abroad on the basis of an employment contract or in public service; work performed in Estonia based on a contract of employment, contract for services, authorisation agreement or contract under the law of obligations for the provision of other services; activity in Estonia as a sole proprietor; daytime or full-time study in an educational institution if the person’s studies are suspended or concluded; and performance of conscript service obligation.

171 Subject to the Law and these Articles, the Company in general meeting may declare dividends in any currency but no dividends shall exceed the amount recommended by the Board.

(B) All or any of the special rights (unless otherwise provided for by the terms of issue) attached to the shares or any class of the shares (if the capital is divided into different classes of shares) may, subject to the provisions of Section 64 of the Companies Ordinance, be varied or abrogated either with the consent in writing of the holders of not less than three-fourths in nominal value of the issued shares or issued shares of that class (if the capital is divided into different classes of shares) or with the sanction of a special resolution passed at a general meeting of the holders of the shares or at a separate general meeting of the holders of the shares of that class (if the capital is divided into different classes of shares).

(e) The Review Conference reaffirm the fundamental principle of compatibility contained in the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea and set out in article 7 of the Agreement, with specific reference to the high seas and the necessity of not applying measures in the high seas that might undermine the efficacy of the measures applied to straddling fish stocks and highly migratory fish stocks by the coastal State.

(a) Section 6(1) of the First Schedule of the LDC Ordinance provides that "A member of the Corporation who is in any way directly or indirectly interested in a contract made or proposed to be made by the Corporation, or in a contract made or proposed to be made by a servant or agent or a partner of the Corporation or, by a body corporate established by the Corporation which is brought up for consideration by the Corporation, shall disclose the nature of his interest at a meeting of the Corporation; and the disclosure shall be recorded in the minutes of the meeting of the Corporation, and the member shall not without the permission of the Chairman take part in any deliberation of the Corporation with respect to that contract and shall not in any event vote on any question concerning it".

14 Subject to the provisions of the Law, of the Memorandum of Association of the Company, and of these Articles relating to new shares, the unissued shares in the Company (whether forming part of its original or any increased capital) shall be at the disposal of the Board, which may offer, allot, grant options over or otherwise dispose of them to such persons, at such times and for such consideration, and upon such terms, as the Board shall determine.

The projects include analysis of and support for the adaptation of public websites, the training of both public- and private-sector professionals involved in the development and updating of those websites, the launching of innovative technological projects designed to develop tools and services facilitating maintenance of the level of accessibility required by law and the promotion of awareness in society of the importance of universal design as a means of guaranteeing nondiscriminatory access to the services of the information society.

The Commission was also informed that Thailand was expanding its broadband network under its ―Smart Thailand‖ strategy and increasing wireless Internet connectivity in public areas and remote areas where fibre-optic networks were not yet available.
