It was noted that while both matters belong to the larger family of mine action, mine clearance and victim assistance have different timelines, involve distinct national and international actors and relate to different national institutional and regulatory frameworks and budget lines.

Clause 11 of the Bill proposes to add sections 67(2A) and 67(2B) to the effect that at the end of the trial of an election petition that relates to the inclusion of the name of a person in, or the exclusion of the name of a person from a precedence list, CFI must determine whether the name is to be included in the list, and at the end of the trial of an election petition that relates to the ranking of a person on a precedence list, CFI must determine whether the ranking of the person on the list is correct and, if not correct, what is the correct ranking.

Investors should read and fully understand all the offering documents relating to the relevant investments or products and all the risk disclosure statements and risk warnings therein before making any investment decisions.

(c) THAT all other transactions contemplated under the Agreement be and are hereby approved and the Directors or a duly authorised committee of the board of Directors be and are/is authorised to do all such acts and things, to sign and execute such documents or agreements or deeds on behalf of the Company and to do such other things and to take all such actions as they consider necessary, appropriate, desirable and expedient for the purposes of giving effect to or in connection with the Agreement, the Acquisition, the allotment and issue of the Consideration Shares, and to agree to such variation, amendments or waiver or matters relating thereto (including any variation, amendments or waiver of such documents or any terms thereof, which are not fundamentally different from those as provided in the Agreement) as are, in the opinion of the Directors or the duly authorised committee, in the interest of the Company and its shareholders as a whole.

Member countries need to review the obligations of the international conventions together with their existing legislation and practices, and to adjust, as appropriate, their legislation, documentation and procedures relating to international road transport.

I confirm that I agree: (i) to be bound by the Terms of Application, the AAVS Agreement and the Conditions of Issue of Octopus in the use of the AAVS and/or the Personalised Octopus; (ii) acknowledge and agree that upon the approval of the Automatic Add Value Service, my personal data provided in this application will be associated with my Octopus; (iii) agree that I have read, understood and agreed with the notice relating to the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance contained in clauses 33 to 40 of the AAVS Agreement; (iv) agreed and authorised Hang Seng to disclose the Octopus Cards Limited your personal data set out on the Application form and your data which Hang Seng may have from its other records, and agreed that this authorization shall survive, and continue after, the cancellation of the AAVS or cancellation of the designated Octopus or Personalised Octopus.

As indicated by the SecretaryGeneral in paragraph 29C.3 of his report, the reform initiatives set out in those resolutions relate to contractual arrangements and harmonization of conditions of service, recruitment, mobility and career development.

136 If any question shall arise at any meeting of the Board as to the materiality of a Director's interest or the significance of a contract, arrangement or transaction or proposed contract, arrangement or transaction or as to the entitlement of any Director to vote or form part of a quorum and such question is not resolved by his voluntarily agreeing to abstain from voting or not to be counted in the quorum, such question shall be referred to the Chairman of the meeting (or, where question relates to the interest of the Chairman, to the other Directors at the meeting) and his ruling (or, as appropriate, the ruling of the other Directors) in relation to any other Director (or, as appropriate, the Chairman) shall be final and conclusive except in a case where the nature or extent of the interests of the Director concerned (or, as appropriate, the Chairman) as known to such Director (or, as appropriate, the Chairman) has not been fairly disclosed to the Board.

(h) If the grantor is a participant in an entity other than one already referred to in the preceding rules, the grantor identifier is the name of the entity as stated in the document creating it[; necessary, additional information, such as the names of each natural person representing the entity in the transaction to which the registration relates, should be required to uniquely identify the grantor in accordance with recommendation 22].

(e) the Company shall be at liberty to treat the person whose name stands first in the register as one of the joint holders of any shares as solely entitled to delivery of the certificate relating to such share, or to receive notices from the Company, or to attend or vote at general meeting of the Company, and any notice given to such person shall be deemed notice to all the joint holders; but any one of such joint holders may be appointed the proxy of the persons entitled to vote on behalf of such joint holders, and as such proxy to attend and vote at general meetings of the Company, but if more than one of such joint holders be present at any meeting personally or by proxy that one so present whose name stands first in the register in respect of such shares shall alone be entitled to vote in respect thereof.

Those efforts included encouraging universities to offer modules on space law; providing fellowships for graduate and postgraduate education in space law; assisting in the development of national space legislation and policy frameworks; organizing workshops, seminars and other specialized activities to promote greater understanding of space law; providing financial and technical support for legal research; preparing dedicated studies, papers and publications on space law; supporting space law moot court competitions; supporting the participation of young professionals in regional and international meetings relating to space law; providing for training and other opportunities to build experience; and supporting entities dedicated to the study of and research relating to space law.

The instrument appointing a proxy to vote at a general meeting shall : (i) be deemed to confer authority upon the proxy to demand or join in demanding a poll and to vote on any resolution (or amendment thereto) put to the meeting for which it is given as the proxy thinks fit provided that any form issued to a member for use by him for appointing a proxy to attend and vote at an extraordinary general meeting or at an annual general meeting at which any business is to be transacted shall be such as to enable the member, according to his intention, to instruct the proxy to vote in favour of or against (or, in default of instructions, to exercise his discretion in respect of) each resolution dealing with any such business; and (ii) unless the contrary is stated therein, be valid as well for any adjournment of the meeting as for the meeting to which it relates.

Introducing the Advisory Committee’s report on the revised security management framework and revised estimates relating to section 5 of the programme budget for the biennium 2010-2011 (A/65/575), she said that, in section I of its report, the Advisory Committee discussed the revised framework for accountability for the United Nations security management system, which reflected the change in organizational culture from a “when to leave” to a “how to stay” mindset and acknowledged for the first time that continued programme delivery meant that there would always be some residual risk.

(b) in the case of Objections relating to the Second Stage Announcement, by the end of the Second Stage Objection Period (being seven (7) days commencing on the day after the Second Stage Announcements).

In its report on the capital master plan, the Advisory Committee expressed its concern about the way in which the request for additional resources to meet the associated costs has been presented, noting in particular, that a number of the requirements listed in the report did not relate directly to the capital master plan but rather to ongoing capital improvements, which, without prejudice to the relative merits of the requests themselves, should not be considered as associated costs (A/63/736, para. 34).

To facilitate digestion of the information by members, there should also be a general provision to require the information shown in the directors’ remuneration report that is subject to audit to show the corresponding amounts for the financial year immediately preceding that to which the accounts relate.

These reservations occur in different clauses of the Constitution and relate to specific situations regarding the protection of the rights and freedoms of others, but also regarding the honour of the person, public order, national security, the public peace, protection against the threat of danger and prevention of criminal offences.

These supplementary rules relate to the requirement to include in a commercial electronic message information relating to the name, address and contact information of the sender of the message; the language requirement for sender information and the unsubscribe facility statement; the manner in which sender information and the unsubscribe facility statement is presented; and the conditions relating to the unsubscribe facility specified in a commercial electronic message.

Current and deferred tax are recognised as an expense or income in the statement of income, except when they relate to items that are recognised outside the statement of income (whether in other comprehensive income or directly in equity) or where they arise from the initial accounting for a business combination.

Deferred income tax assets and liabilities are offset when there is a legally enforceable right to offset current tax assets against current tax liabilities and when the deferred income taxes assets and liabilities relate to income taxes levied by the same taxation authority on either the taxable entity or different taxable entities where there is an intention to settle the balances on a net basis.

It also means that the distribution of any sound products conforming with the standard will not be hindered by any legal or administrative provisions in the country concerned, which relate to the health of the consumer or to other food standard matters and which are covered by the requirements of the general standard.

A State party that has been requested to submit a written reply that relates only to the question of admissibility is not precluded thereby from submitting, within six months of the request, a written reply that shall relate both to the communication’s admissibility and its merits.

Although these initiatives do not relate directly to MB phase-out, they could be considered for establishing future linkages with the aim of securing continued technical support and adoption of production practices used to replace MB.

A number of participants flagged the need for sensitivity as to how the framework and its functions would relate to other processes and international negotiations, for example those of the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development to be held in 2012 (Rio+20), of the World Trade Organization and of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, in order to avoid duplication and conflicts but also to find possible synergies where feasible.

These reports relate to bombings in two clashes with an SLA faction in Northern Darfur in November 2009 and March 2010, allegedly resulting in two civilian deaths and the killing of dozens of livestock near water points, and with JEM in Western Darfur in April 2010 and twice in Northern Darfur in May 2010, allegedly resulting in 11 civilian deaths and the injury of 30 civilians near villages and nearby water points.

It referred to the paragraphs of the latter which relate to Palau’s geographical situation, languages spoken, religions practised by the population, the system of government, the composition of the population, the percentage of population living under poverty line, the status of consultations for the establishment of a National Human Rights Institution and the rights enshrined in its Constitution.

(d) The Australian Maritime Safety Authority, responsible for maritime safety, marine environment protection, and maritime and aviation search and rescue in Australia, has several memorandums of understanding with Australia’s neighbours (New Caledonia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea and Indonesia) which relate to responses to major oil spills.
