Highsmith
/ˈhaɪsmɪθ/- Highsmith, Patricia (1921-95), American writer of detective fiction; born Patricia Plangman. Her novels are noted for their black humour, particularly those featuring Tom Ripley, an amoral anti-hero resident in France.
