Warburg1, Aby (Moritz) (1866-1929), German art historian. From 1905 he built up a library in Hamburg, dedicated to preserving the classical heritage of Western culture. In 1933 it was transferred to England and housed in the Warburg Institute (part of the University of London). 瓦尔堡, 艾比(·莫里茨)(1866-1929, 德国艺术史学家; 1905年起在汉堡建立了一个图书馆, 致力于保存西方古典文化遗产; 1933年该馆迁至英国的瓦尔堡学院[伦敦大学的一部分])。
Warburg2, Otto Heinrich (1883-1970), German biochemist. He pioneered the use of the techniques of chemistry for biochemical investigations, especially for his work on intracellular respiration.
