Waitangi, Treaty of
/waɪˈtæŋɪ/- a treaty signed in 1840 at the settlement of Waitangi in New Zealand, which formed the basis of the British annexation of New Zealand. Subsequent contraventions of the treaty by the British led to the Maori Wars怀唐伊条约（1840年在新西兰怀唐伊移民区签订的条约, 据此, 英国吞并了新西兰; 后来英国违反该条约的规定, 导致了毛利战争）。
