Tigray
/ˈtiːgreɪ/(亦作Tigre /tɪˈgreɪ/)
- a province of Ethiopia, in the north of the country, bordering Eritrea; capital, Mekele. An ancient kingdom, Tigray was annexed as a province of Ethiopia in 1855.
