Cochin-China
/ˌkɒtʃɪnˈtʃaɪnə/- the former name for the southern region of what is now Vietnam. Part of French Indo-China from 1862, in 1946 it became a French overseas territory, then merged officially with Vietnam in 1949.交趾支那(现越南南部地区的原称, 1862年起为法属印度支那的一部分, 1946年成为法属海外领土, 1949年正式并入越南)。
