Tarim
/tɑːˈriːm/- a river of NW China, in Xinjiang autonomous region. It rises as the Yarkand in the Kunlun Shan mountains and flows for over 2,000 km (1,250 miles) generally eastwards through the dry Tarim Basin, petering out in the Lop Nor depression.
