the Talmud
- the body of Jewish civil and ceremonial law and legend comprising the Mishnah and the Gemara. There are two versions of the Talmud: the Babylonian Talmud (which dates from the 5th century AD but includes earlier material) and the earlier Palestinian or Jerusalem Talmud.《塔木德经》(犹太法典, 包括犹太民法、礼仪法和传说, 由《密西拿》和《革马拉》组成; 《塔木德经》有两个版本: 公元5世纪的巴比伦《塔木德经》(其包含的材料早于这一时期)以及较之更久远的巴勒斯坦或耶路撒冷《塔木德经》)。
