Carmel, Mount
/ˈkɑːməl/- a group of mountains near the Mediterranean coast in NW Israel, sheltering the port of Haifa. In the Bible it is the scene of the defeat of the priests of Baal by the prophet Elijah (Ⅰ Kings 18) .卡尔迈勒山（以色列西北临地中海海岸山脉, 为海法港屏障, 在《圣经》中, 先知以利亚在此战胜巴力祭司［《列王记·上》： 18］）。
