Bamian
/ˌbæmɪˈɑːn/- a city in central Afghanistan; pop. 10,400 (est. 2006). Nearby are the remains of two colossal statues of Buddha destroyed by the Taliban in 2001, and the ruins of the city of Ghulghuleh, which was destroyed by Genghis Khan c.1221.巴米扬（阿富汗中部城市, 2006年估计人口10,400, 附近原有两尊巨型佛像遗迹, 但2001年遭塔利班毁坏, 以及1221年左右毁于成吉思汗之手的古城遗址）。
