Pappus

- Greek mathematician; known as Pappus of Alexandria. Little is known of his life, but his Collection of six books (another two are missing) is the principal source of knowledge of the mathematics of his predecessors.帕普斯(生活于约公元300-350年, 希腊数学家, 通称“亚历山大学派的帕普斯”; 生平不详, 但他写的六卷《数学汇编》[另两卷遗失]是了解在他之前的数学知识的主要依据)。
