Messerschmidt
/ˈmesəˌʃmɪt, 〈德〉 ˈmɛsɐˌʃmɪt/- Messerschmidt, Willy (1898-1978), German aircraft designer and industrialist; full name Wilhelm Emil Messerschmidt. He designed and constructed his first glider in 1915 and set up a company in 1923.
