Marx
/mɑːks/- Marx, Karl (Heinrich) (1818-83), German political philosopher and economist, resident in England from 1849. The founder of modern communism with Friedrich Engels, he collaborated with him in the writing of the Communist Manifesto (1848), and enlarged it into a series of books, most notably the three-volume Das Kapital.马克思, 卡尔(·海因里希)(1818-1883, 德国政治哲学家和政治经济学家, 1849年起定居英国, 与弗雷德里希·恩格斯共同创立现代共产主义, 并合作撰写《共产党宣言》[1848], 又将其扩充成为一系列著作, 尤以三卷本的《资本论》著称)。
