正弦定理是三角学中的一个定理。它指出：对于任意 $\triangle ABC$ ， $a$ 、 $b$ 、 $c$ 分别为 $\angle A$ 、 $\angle B$ 、 $\angle C$ 的对边， $R$ 为 $\triangle ABC$ 的外置圆半径，则有

$\frac{a}{\sin \ang A}=\frac{b}{\sin \ang B}=\frac{c}{\sin \ang C}=2R$

做一个边长为a，b，c的三角形，对应角分别是A，B，C。从角C向c边做垂线，得到一个长度为h的垂线和两个直角三角形。

很明显：

\sin A = \frac{h}{b}

和

\; \sin B = \frac{h}{a}

因此：

h = b\,\sin A = a\,\sin B

和

\frac{\sin A}{a} = \frac{\sin B}{b}

同理：

\frac{\sin B}{b} = \frac{\sin C}{c}
