  Quite can be used in the following ways:

3d used for emphasizing your description or statement 确实

4 exactly
4a used after a negative word to mean that something is not exactly correct or clear (用于否定词后面表示某事不完全正确或清楚)不大确切地,差不多

4b used for saying that something is the opposite of what has been suggested 恰恰相反

5 BRITISH  spoken   used for showing that you agree
used for showing that you agree with what someone has said (用于表示赞同)可不是嘛

‘It’ s not the kind of behaviour we expect from a teacher.’ ‘Quite.’ “这不是我们所认为的教师应有的行为。”“可不是嘛。”

quite so ‘It is most important that the matter should be kept secret.’ ‘Quite so.’ “最重要的是这件事应该保密。”“没错。”

quite right ‘Some laws are meant to be broken.’ ‘Quite right.’ “有些法律是注定无法遵守的。”“说得对。”

PHRASES

used for expressing your opinion in a way that sounds sincere and direct

used when you reply to someone who has said they are sorry , in order to show them that you do not mind what they have done
