Based on the prerequisite of system resonance, this thesis obtains the sufficient condition of system stability using quasi-linear theory and brings forward the criterions of the system stability.
Results show that the quasi biennial (QB) oscillation is the most unstable mode of the linear coupled air sea system and only the QB mode displays ENSO-like horizontal structure.
