The ultrasonic nondestructive characterization for irradiated coatings has contributed to the quality evaluation of modification layers of surface materials.

The processes of energy transfer of semiconductor surface irradiated by picosecond laser pulses are studied. Discussion is focussed on energy transfer from the electron-hole plasma to the lattice.

These models were used to reconstruct the phase-space data in phantom surface for photon beams under any irradiated conditions.
