The large roof window that lights the extension from its southern side features rib-like steel frames that cradle the windows as they stagger from flat to vertical angles.

Externally, the extension is clad in the same dark tiles that cover the courtyard, while pre-oxidised panels of Corten – the popular weathering steel – feature on the courtyard walls.

But they also added a blackened steel and glass extension to the back of the property to create a large living area on the ground floor and bedrooms above.
