The paper briefly analysed the reason of stoppage for the broken warp and broken filling on rapier loom in production process and put forward the solving method.

In making plain weave fabrics, yarns can be packed loosely or tightly together, and the number of warp yarns may equal to the number of filling yarns in each 10 cm or may vary considerably.

In weaving, lengthwise yarns are called warp and crosswise yarns are called weft, or filling.
