Native Americann. an American Indian, esp. of the US (尤指美国的)土著印第安人 ■ Usage 用法说明 The term Native American is now often preferred to American Indian. However, when used to include the aboriginal peoples of Canada as well as of the US, it can cause offence. Ambiguity can be avoided by using American Indian or Canadian Indian as appropriate.
