The same applies to the silver warehou, S. punctata, and the white warehou, S. caerulea, which are of comparable size but inhabit deeper waters and are known also off the southern coasts of S. America.

I prefer something with texture, oil, and big flakes, so in New Zealand something like kahawai, trevally or warehou would all be good.
