Similarly, the establishment of high-value systems contracts for field supplies entail technical inspections of vendors prototypes and/or production lines followed by contract negotiations ($102,500); participation in specialized air transportation conferences ($28,800); organize the annual air carrier day in UNLB in cooperation with DFS to brief the industry on new developments regarding solicitation methods, revised model contracts and obtain industry feedback ($15,600); attendance of specialized trade fairs related to the automotive industry to ensure that the highest industry standards are applied to vehicle fleet contracting processes and after-sale support ($9,700); and attendance of the chief transportation officers’ conference in UNLB to gain better understanding of peacekeeping missions’ requirements related to vehicles and fuel ($8,700).

The Commission was briefed on the macroeconomic performance, progress in achieving the Millennium Development Goals and development strategies of member countries.

(G) Whenever the Conversion Price is adjusted as herein provided, the Company shall give notice to the CP Shareholders that the Conversion Price has been adjusted (setting forth the event giving rise to the adjustment, the Conversion Price in effect prior to such adjustment, the adjusted Conversion Price and the effective date thereof) and shall at all times thereafter so long as any of the Conversion Rights remains exercisable make available for inspection at the principal place of business for the time being of the Company and the Registrar's Office prior to the Conversion Date a signed copy of the said certificate of the auditors or (as the case may be) of the relevant approved merchant bank and a certificate signed by a Director of the Company setting out the brief particulars of the event giving rise to the adjustment, the Conversion Price in effect prior to such adjustment, the adjusted Conversion Price end this effective date thereof.

An amount of $284,100 is proposed for travel to undertake the following technical support activities: improve finance and budget processes in field operations ($141,000); train troop- and police-contributing countries at a regional level on contingent-owned equipment reimbursement policies and procedures and other related issues ($30,400); brief field-based finance and budget officers in changes to finance and budget processes made as a result of new policies, procedures and systems, including IPSAS and enterprise resource planning ($29,700); and make predeployment visits to troop- and police-contributing countries in preparation for deployment to peacekeeping missions ($83,000).

The representatives the joint working group established to advance and monitor the implementation of the Addis Ababa road map briefed the meeting on its highlights and provided information on the action taken after the dialogue between the two mechanisms, including the appointment of focal points within the respective secretariats and an increase in regular exchanges of information, such as notes forecasting the relevant activities of both systems; regular mailing of the special procedures bulletin to the African Commission; participation in each other’s sessions or annual meetings; the preparation of a comparative note between the two special procedures systems; reciprocal follow-up to the recommendations of each mechanism; and peer-to-peer learning.

Finally, he briefed the meeting about the content of the two tabled guides on practising food hygiene to prevent hepatitis A and hepatitis E for food service and retail outlets and for consumers respectively.

After a brief introduction by the representative of the Secretariat of document 177 EX/51, several experts addressed the issues of adequate monitoring of extrabudgetary activities; the expected content, format and presentation of the “additional programme of targeted/projected extrabudgetary activities” and the ensuing collective and individual consultations with the funding sources; the handling of self-benefiting funding arrangements; and UNESCO’s cost recovery policy for extrabudgetary activities.

The function of these subforums is as follows: to exchange information on the human rights situation at the state level and seek the adoption of measures by the local authorities to curtail human rights violations; brief the main forum concerning the challenges to the human rights situation at the state level so that the necessary action can be taken; strengthen cooperation among local government authorities and UNAMID human rights personnel in order to respond effectively to the human rights concerns at the state level; and serve as a body that assesses human rights capacity-building needs at the state level.

She invited representatives of MVA to brief the meeting on details of the survey.

The Commission will have before it for its consideration the report of the Executive Director on the implementation of Commission resolution 19/6, in which it requested UNODC to brief Member States on a regular basis on technical assistance provided to the Member States concerned and on the administration of the Trust Fund to Support Initiatives of States Countering Piracy off the Coast of Somalia, and encouraged Member States and other donors to provide extrabudgetary resources to support the work of UNODC to assist Member States in countering maritime piracy off the coast of Somalia (E/CN.15/2011/18).

After a brief analysis of the relation between quality education and educational access, the document that was the basis for the debate stressed the essential elements of quality education and addressed questions raised in those fields with a view to achieving quality education.

Feed-back from stakeholders: The verification found a lack of “evidence” of feedback from stakeholders readily at hand with respect to such details as: participants’ end-of-training evaluations for the various training activities; the use of the knowledge and skills acquired through UNESCO’s training activities; and the usage of the various tools, guidelines, policy briefs, and so on, delivered by UNESCO.

Following brief consultations, the Committee decided to recommend suspension of the consultative status of the organization for a period of two years and to request the organization to submit a letter to the Committee before the expiration of the suspension period, stating that it will conform at all times to the principles governing the establishment and nature of its consultative relations with the Council, as stipulated in paragraph 55 of Council resolution 1996/31 (see chap. I, draft decision V).

If this brief sketch of the Talmud as regards its halakic contentsbe supplemented by the statement that the sayings of the several amoraim as well as the opposing views of their contemporaries and the members of the academies, whether teachers or pupils, are frequently recorded in connection with the report of the discussions of the academies, a more complete view of the nature of the Talmud and a better conception of its form may be gained.

After a brief resumption resulting from the considerable efforts undertaken by the United States Government, it has not been possible to resume direct peace talks between Israel and the Palestinian Authority, despite the fact that they represent the best option for achieving a comprehensive, lasting and mutually acceptable solution that would lead to the establishment of a political and economically viable Palestinian State, in accordance with the relevant Security Council resolutions, the Road Map and the Arab Peace Initiative, as well as the Quartet statements of March and September 2010 and February 2011.

Ms. Janny MA briefed the meeting about the findings of the joint study with Consumer Council on acrylamide in some popular foods and the draft “Trade Guidelines on Reducing Acrylamide in Food”.

The secretary to the Board of Directors should provide details of a regular Board of Directors meeting (including information in relation to each of the specialist Board committees) not later than 3 days prior to the commencement of the meeting to ensure all Directors are briefed on matters to be considered in the meeting in advance.

Let me take this opportunity to underline that my Government requests the Committee’s action, pursuant to paragraph 19 of resolution 1896 (2009), and I would welcome an opportunity to further brief the Committee on this subject, pursuant to paragraph 4 (c) of resolution 1896 (2009), should the Committee so deem necessary and appropriate.

Centre for Harmony and Enhancement of Ethnic Minority Residents (CHEER) – After a warm welcome by Centre-in-charge of CHEER Ms. SHUM Kit Yee, Katherine, Project Leader of Multicultural Education at Schools (MES) Mr. SIN Chung Yin, Timothy, and a number of ethnic staff, all students were introduced the kinds of services and the skills related to the ethnic minorities in Hong Kong, through interesting games and brief presentations.

In this Interim Report, we give a brief update that all the INEDs and NEDs are now appointed for a specific term for 3 years and are subject to retirement, rotation and re-election at the Company’s AGMs.
