In the second year, the aim is to clear all the areas identified to contain mines and carry out an environmental rehabilitation of the target area.

The estimates and assumptions that have a significant risk of causing a material adjustment to the carrying amounts of assets and liabilities within the next financial year are discussed below.

Two of the 4 general temporary assistance positions, 1 P-4 and 1 P-3 Training Officers, and 1 P-4 continuing post, currently funded from the support account, design, deliver, upgrade, harmonize and evaluate three ongoing cross-cutting leadership programmes: the senior mission leaders’ programme, a two-week course, conducted twice annually at a host Member State, for 26 candidates from Member States, the Secretariat, the United Nations agencies, programmes and funds); the senior leaders’ programme, a compulsory orientation course for all mission personnel at the D-2 level and above, conducted twice annually in New York; and SMART, an intensive year-long programme involving distance learning and three week-long workshops for two groups of 40 candidates.

(c) That the Country had submitted annual implementation reports in the form of Appendix 4-A (“Format of Implementation Reports and Plans”) covering each previous calendar year; that it had achieved a significant level of implementation of activities initiated with previously approved tranches; and that the rate of disbursement of funding available from the previously approved tranche was more than 20 per cent; and (d) That the Country has submitted an annual implementation plan in the form of Appendix 4-A covering each calendar year until and including the year for which the funding schedule foresees the submission of the next tranche or, in case of the final tranche, until completion of all activities foreseen.

a) To define “pesticide” and other related terms in a way consistent with Codex; b) To provide a list of maximum residue limits (MRLs) and extraneous maximum residue limits (EMRLs), to adopt MRLs/EMRLs recommended by Codex as the backbone as well as the Codex’s classification of foods; c) To prohibit the import and sale of the concerned food for which no MRL/EMRL had been specified, unless DFEH was satisfied that the detected level would not be dangerous or prejudicial to health; d) To provide a list of exempted substances; e) To accept applications for adding / revising MRLs and exempted substances; f) To dovetail the proposed Regulation with the registration of pesticides for use on food crops under the PO, Cap. 133; and g) To commence the proposed Regulation after a two-year grace period.

She proposed to divide the Commission’s work into five debates: (i) a debate on item 5.9 – Follow-up to the Round Table of Ministers and Senior Officials Responsible for Physical Education and Sport and item 5.10 – Proclamation by the United Nations General Assembly of an international year for physical education and sport; (ii) a general debate on item 3.1 – Preparation of the Draft Programme and Budget for 2006-2007; (iii) a general debate on Major Programme I of the Draft Programme and Budget for 2004-2005; (iv) a debate on items 5.4, 5.17, 5.20, 7.5 and 7.7; and (v) consideration of the recommendations of the Commission concerning proposed resolutions in Draft 32 C/5 and recommendations of the Executive Board thereon, draft decisions proposed under items 5.9, 5.20, 7.5 and 7.7, and draft resolutions submitted by Member States concerning document 32 C/5 and other items.

This report will reflect work on the three Standing Agenda Items, as well as a report on the other item scheduled for discussion during that year.

Activities under the IYPE science and outreach programmes during the three-year period had a strong mobilizing effect around the globe, not only among Earth scientists but also among the general public, especially young people.

In comparison with the previous year, the reaction of the security forces to cases attributed to their members was more appropriate and investigations were initiated under the ordinary justice system.

That is because Israel’s acceptance of the Arab Peace Initiative would guarantee the end of its occupation of all Syrian territories occupied since 1967 and the remaining Lebanese territories occupied in the same year and the establishment of an independent Palestinian State with East Jerusalem as its capital, and because it would guarantee an agreed resolution of the issue of Palestine refugees in accordance with General Assembly resolution 194 (III) and would secure for Israel peace agreements with all Arab States and normal relations with 35 other Islamic States.

The Council postponed the election of two members from African States, two members from Asian States, one member from Eastern European States, one member from Latin American and Caribbean States and one member from Western European and other States for a three-year term beginning on 1 January 2010.

Foreign exchange gains and losses resulting from the settlement of such transactions and from the translation at year-end exchange rates of monetary assets and liabilities denominated in foreign currencies are recognised in the statement of comprehensive income within ‘Administrative expenses’.

4.15 To allow sufficient time for laboratories (both private and government) to develop testing methods for pesticides as listed in the new subsidiary legislation and the trade in complying with the new regulatory requirement, it is proposed to grant a two-year grace period for this new piece of subsidiary legislation.

During the year, no emoluments were paid by the Group to the Company's directors or any of the five highest paid individuals as an inducement to join, or upon joining the Group, or as compensation for loss of office (2008: Nil).

In particular, the Meeting was informed that the Summit, through its Beijing Declaration, had (a) noted that the Global Earth Observation System of Systems (GEOSS) data-sharing implementation guidelines and action plan and the establishment of the operational GEOSS common infrastructure significantly improved access to global Earth observation data and resources; (b) endorsed the refined GEO targets, aligned with the 10-year implementation plan; (c) urged all Governments and organizations to sustain and enhance both in situ and space-based observation systems; and (d) called on international organizations and donor agencies to further contribute to the implementation of GEOSS.

The Group assesses annually the residual value and the useful life of the plant and equipment and if the expectation differs from the original estimate, such a difference may impact the depreciation in the year and the estimate will be changed in the future period.

The fair value of such shares, which has been recognised in the income statement, was determined as at the date of grant and the amount included in the financial statements for the year is included in the above directors’ remuneration disclosures.

In the preparation of the following year’s report on legal empowerment of the poor and eradication of poverty, draft resolution A/C.2/64/L.47 should be taken into consideration because the concept must be understood in a broader context, in both developed and developing countries, and the root causes of poverty must be part of the examination.

In paragraph 9 of draft resolution A/HRC/12/L.18, the Council decided to extend by one year the mandate of the special procedure of human rights in Cambodia, and requested the Special Rapporteur to report on the implementation of his mandate to the Council at its fifteenth session and to engage in a constructive manner with the Government of Cambodia for the further improvement of the situation of human rights in the country.

The Working Group recalled with satisfaction that at the forty-sixth session of the Subcommittee, in 2009, the Joint Expert Group of the Scientific and Technical Subcommittee and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), established by the Subcommittee at its forty-fourth session, in 2007, had completed, one year ahead of the schedule contained in its multi-year workplan, preparation of the Safety Framework for Nuclear Power Source Applications in Outer Space and that in 2009 the Safety Framework had been adopted by the Subcommittee at its forty sixth session and endorsed by the Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space at its fifty-second session.

High schools may offer specific courses (physics, chemistry, biology/life science, earth science) or integrated science courses that include standards from the four science disciplines within a given year.

113.2 If at any general meeting at which a Director retires, the office(s) of the retiring Director(s) are not filled up the retiring Director(s) may continue in office until the annual general meeting in the next year, and so on from year to year unless the number shall be reduced as aforesaid or unless the Company at the annual general meeting shall resolve that a retiring Director shall not remain in office.

If ELD goals are not included in an EL student’s IEP because the student’s disability does not affect the student’s involvement and progress in this area, then the school still must ensure that the student participates in at least 30 consecutive minutes of ELD targeted specifically to their English proficiency level until reclassified.

The Committee also noted that, on the margins of its fifty-fifth session, the second meeting of the representatives of space agencies had been h eld to discuss draft terms of reference for a mission planning and operations group, the establishment of which had been part of the draft recommendations made by the Action Team (A/AC.105/C.1/L.317).
