For Canada, those covered the terminal phase-out management plan for ODS in the refrigeration and air-conditioning sector in Saint Lucia and the terminal phase-out management plan for Annex A Group I substances in Uruguay; for Italy, the umbrella project for terminal phase-out of ODS in the solvent sector in the Democratic Republic of Congo, the phase-out of methyl bromide as a soil fumigant in Morocco, and the terminal CTC phase-out project in Serbia; and for Spain, the phase-out of methyl bromide in horticulture in Libyan Arab Jamahiriya.

Following a discussion, the Executive Committee decided to approve the pilot project for validation of methyl formate as a blowing agent in the manufacture of polyurethane foam (phase I) in Brazil at a total cost of US $401,500 plus agency support costs of US $30,113 for UNDP, noting that the project was consistent with decision 55/43(e) and that it had been designed to disseminate the results from the validation of methyl formate technology in rigid and integral skin polyurethane foam applications globally, and on the understanding that the project would be the final validation project for methyl formate in the manufacture of rigid and integral skin polyurethane foams, and that approval of the project was without prejudice to consideration of the future funding request for phase II of the project by the Executive Committee.

During the period under consideration, main activities included the promotion of policies and standards to raise awareness and monitoring progress towards universal access particularly by focusing on the implementation of the outcomes of the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS, Phases I, Geneva, and II, Tunis) and within the framework of the Information for All Programme (IFAP) and its three strategic priorities – information literacy, information ethics and information preservation – by consolidating its operational functions through the implementation of concrete activities.

In paragraphs 10 to 17 of his report (A/64/532), the Secretary-General provides information on the status of implementation and procurement activities, as well as the actual costs of the first phase of the standardized access control project, which involved a total of 10 locations, including United Nations Headquarters at New York, offices away from Headquarters, the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda and the International Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia.

Future phases will focus on expanding the deployment of enterprise content management core modules for collaboration and the management of documents, records and Web content, as well as the management of digital and multimedia assets.

While the Advisory Committee accepts the Secretary-General’s focus on the implementation of IPSAS in the first phase (see para. VIII.7 above), it emphasizes that the consequential investment made by Member States was justified, in part, on the basis of management improvements and reforms that the enterprise resource planning system would enable, including results-based management, risk management, a strengthened internal control framework, and enhanced performance and accountability, as well as greater efficiency and effectiveness.

To provide Members with a full picture of the competition policies in the selected jurisdictions, RLSD presents the facts and findings of the two phases in this research report.

The Secretary-General indicates in paragraph 57 of his report (A/64/380), that the implementation of ERP projects is usually broken down into four major phases: ( a c ) preparation, during which the project structure and team are set up, service providers and tools are selected, operational requirements are collected and analysed, opportunities for improvement are evaluated and existing business processes and systems are documented; (b ) design, during which a blueprint for the future solution is established and a detailed implementation plan for the subsequent phases is developed; (c ) build, during which the organization’s solution is configured into the standard software according to the blueprint, the system is thoroughly tested, the technical infrastructure is implemented and the user community is trained; and (d ) deployment, during which the organization transitions to the new working methods and systems, which itself is performed in several phases.

In the context of a biennium marked by pre-electoral, electoral and governmental transition phase, UNESCO managed firmly to position itself supporting national initiatives designed to achieve considerable national progress in the education reform, prevent youth violence, safeguard the tangible and intangible cultural heritage, strengthen national capacities to better manage and develop water resources, promote intercultural dialogue and cultural pluralism, build democracy, peace and tolerance, especially in relation to overall national development objectives and achieve the Millennium Development Goals.

We upgraded part of 1QR to Category A as 2QR (previously known as 12YD) “MTR West Island Line – funding support for design phase” in December 2007 at an estimated cost of $400.0 million in MOD prices for the provision of the first stage funding support to the MTRCL to cover the design phase expenditure of the WIL project up to authorisation under the Ordinance.

Building on the introduction of ICTs within national education policies, as well as outcomes of ongoing ICT-based applications in education and literacy developed during Phase I of the project, the first subregional workshop on ICTs and literacy, organized with the UNESCO New Delhi Office, was held with government officials from India and Bangladesh, NGOs, and software engineering firms to define a plan of action.

Turning to the Advisory Committee’s report on a strengthened and unified security management system for the United Nations (A/64/7/Add.15), which concerned the revised estimates under various sections of the proposed programme budget for 2010-2011 as well as the budget for the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda, she said that the Advisory Committee noted that phase I of the standardized access control project (PACT I) had been fully implemented at all locations except the Economic Commission for Africa (ECA), the Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) and the International Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia; in the Tribunal’s case, the project would be discontinued in view of the Tribunal’s impending closure.

In the light of the potential value that these organizations could add to the process, Bhutan suggested that the Council consider means to facilitate the participation of non-governmental organizations from developing and least developed countries in the universal periodic review process, particularly during the plenary phase.

The Iranian regime’s recent statements and actions mark a new phase in its war against the State of Israel and the Jewish people, which the international community can no longer ignore.

The representative of the Secretariat said that the World Bank had submitted a request for the release of the fourth and last funding tranche of US $1,767,000 plus agency support costs for the 2009 implementation programme for phasing out use of CFC-11 in the polyurethane foam sector in China.

It entails raising the troop level to 17,731 uniformed personnel and a set of enablers and force multipliers aimed at achieving a fine balance between the operational requirements and a realistic level of resources through (a) the prioritization of areas of operation; (b) the phasing of the operation without significantly altering the desired objectives; (c) trading force multipliers and enablers for troop levels by maintaining capability; (d) requesting Ethiopia to continue to provide support to Transitional Federal Government/AMISOM operations in the Bay, Bakool and Hiraan regions; and (e) the provision of immediate operational logistics support to the Transitional Federal Government security forces.

For equal cooling phases or ventilator groups, alternating operation with monitoring of a consistent workload can be specified.

Despite the Group having been granted the right of first refusal for the development of Phase II of the WIT Port by the PRC joint venture partners who are Wuhan government agencies at inception of the WIT project, the signing of the Heads of Agreement in 2005 (together with a supplemental agreement in April 2007) and the subsequent approval of the development plan by the Central Government for the Group to take a 44% equity interest in the Phase II development with the rest of the interest to be taken up by the two PRC Joint Venture partners of WIT, negotiations of the terms of the joint venture agreement have grinded to a halt resulting in the Group not being able to participate in the development of the project as intended.

The representative of the Secretariat introduced document UNEP/OzL.Pro/ExCom/56/11, which consisted of progress reports on the implementation of: the national CFC phase-out plan in Argentina, the TPMP in Bhutan, the accelerated phase-out of CFCs and halons in China, the NPP for CFCs and halons in Colombia, the verification audit report of the terminal CFC phase-out management plan in Croatia, the TPMP in Ghana, the technology transfer leading to methyl bromide phase-out in soil fumigation in Kenya, the national CFC phase-out plan in Mexico and the sector plan for phasing out the CFC-11 and CFC-12 production sector in Mexico.

This Amendment Order is made by the Chief Executive in Council under section 19(1) of the Ferry Services Ordinance (Cap. 104). It amends the Ferry Services (The "Star" Ferry Company, Limited) (Determination of Fares) Order (Cap. 104 sub. leg. C) to increase in two phases the maximum fares chargeable by The "Star" Ferry Company, Limited (Star Ferry) on its two franchised ferry routes between Kowloon Point and respectively, Central and Wan Chai.

As certain Subject Share quotas under the Phase I Share Incentive Scheme of the Company remaining in lockup gave rise to potentially dilutive ordinary shares of 61,864,408 shares and 69,737,523 shares for the reporting period and the same period of 2010, respectively, diluted earnings per share has been calculated on the basis of basic earnings per share taking into account the said factors, and diluted earnings per share for the same period of 2010 has been restated.

In order to establish a long-term incentive mechanism closely linked with the Company’s business performance and long-term strategy, so as to help optimise the overall remuneration structure and create a competitive advantage in human resources that will contribute to the long-term, sustainable growth of the Company’s operation, the Remuneration and Evaluation Committee of the Board of Directors of the Company has formulated the Phase I Share Incentive Scheme of the Company, which has come into effect upon approval by the general meeting of the Company.
