One member suggested the Government make reference to the Open Document Format in defining data standards for application in the public administration domain.

As it is proposed to adopt Codex MRLs as the backbone of the local set of MRLs for pesticide residues in food, to ensure compatibility, it is also proposed to make reference to Codex when developing such classification system under the new regulatory framework.

We will continue to step up education support to the NCS students which includes, among others, our collaboration with ethnic minority communities and NGOs to encourage the NCS parents’ participation in diversified Chinese activities together with their children to enhance their children’s exposure to and use of Chinese, summer bridging programmes specifically for the NCS students progressing to Primary 1 and Primary 4 to be expanded to allow the NCS parents to accompany their children to learn Chinese, an incentive grant scheme to be launched to enhance the professional competencies of Chinese Language teachers in teaching the NCS students with setting of appropriate targets for the NCS students’ acquisition of Chinese and a longitudinal study to be conducted to further evaluate the effectiveness of measures to support the NCS students’ learning of Chinese, with a view to improving the learning and teaching of the Chinese Language.

12.1.1 The project applicant shall observe the Prevention of Bribery Ordinance (Cap. 201) (PBO) and shall advise their employees, subcontractors, agents and other personnel who are in any way involved in the project that they are not allowed to offer to or solicit or accept from any person any money, gifts or advantage as defined in the PBO in the conduct of or in relation to the project.

The implementation of many approved initiatives have involved the participation of staff across all Faculties, including the design and development of the Common Core Curriculum, workshops for developing CLOs and assessment standards, the establishment of an Assessment Resources Centre (AR@HKU), and the formulation of and follow-up on programme-specific action plans to take forward issues identified in the HKUSLEQ and TPGLEQ.

None of the persons listed in Part I of this application form (including their spouses) have obtained any loan or mortgage subsidy under the Home Purchase Loan Scheme (HPLS)/Home Assistance Loan Scheme (HALS), or have purchased any domestic flat under the HOS, the PSPS, the Middle Income Housing Project at Melody Garden, the Mortgage Subsidy Scheme, the SMS, the TPS, the Buy or Rent Option or any subsidized housing scheme administered by the HS.

Lessons from other economies have indicated that introducing more players into the electricity market to provide customer choice is not without risks, and lower supply reliability and price fluctuations could be the outcome.

(2) HEC, as part of its continuing effort to increase transparency, will disclose to the Government for its information only the segregated annual cost data, which include capital and operating expenditures, and Net Fixed Assets movement pertaining to its generation, and transmission and distribution systems covering the same period as the Auditing Review.

Likewise, if the in-situ density tests and laboratory compaction tests on fill material have not been carried out in accordance with Geospec 3, the Certificate of Completion for the filling works may not be accepted (PNAP 55 refers).

(c) DEVB and its departments make reference to the “Guidelines on the Use of Social Media” available on the Government Intranet for use by all Bureaux and Departments in setting up and maintaining our social media platform.

The Directors may from time to time appoint a manager or managers of the business of the Company and may fix his or their remuneration either by way of salary or commission or by conferring the right to participation in the profits of the Company or by a combination of two or more of these modes and pay the working expenses of any of the staff of the manager or managers who may be employed by him or them in the business of the Company.

Facilitation of e-government through more convenient access for all and providing more actual interactive services, rather than simply acting as a “one-way” disseminator of information and for downloading Government information, is a key component for better governance and facilitation of participation by the public.

(d) the dividend (or that part of the dividend in respect of which a right of election has been accorded) shall not be payable on shares in respect whereof the share election has been duly exercised (“the elected shares”) and in lieu thereof shares shall be allotted credited as fully paid up to the holders of the elected shares on the basis of allotment determined as aforesaid and for such purpose the Board shall capitalise and apply out of any part of the undivided profits of the Company or any part of any of the Company’s reserve accounts (including any special account, contributed surplus - 54 account, share premium account and capital redemption reserve fund (if there be any such reserve)) as the Board may determine a sum equal to the aggregate nominal amount of the shares to be allotted on such basis and apply the same in paying up in full the appropriate number of shares for allotment and distribution to and amongst the holders of the elected shares on such basis.

After careful consideration, the Task Force considered that there was no need to introduce any legislative change at this stage and efforts should instead be channelled to various recommended administrative measures to improve co-ordination among tree management departments under the leadership of the new Tree Management Office, enhance tree risk assessment, upgrade professional expertise in tree management and promote public education and community involvement.

3.6 Members of the Committee may participate in the Committee meetings by telephone or video conference or electronic or other communications facilities provided that each member can hear and be heard by all other members throughout the meeting and such participation shall constitute presence for purposes of the quorum provision of clause 3.3.
