A member opined that every single step counts in achieving the goal of clean air and blue sky and supported the ban in principle.

Our efforts in this area include the development of various energy efficiency guidelines to promote energy conservation in commercial properties; launching the Energy Efficiency Registration Scheme for Buildings to promote voluntary compliance of Building Energy Codes; organizing Energy Efficiency Awards to promote sustainable energy use and recognize good energy saving practices; carrying out public awareness programmes for promoting energy efficiency and renewable energy; providing information to the public through technical talks, web-based education kits, school talks, information leaflets and energy end-use databases; and mobilizing the community to take action at personal level to adopt energy saving measures under the “Action Blue Sky” campaign.

The Republic of Azerbaijan has repeatedly stated that, despite ongoing political efforts towards the earliest resolution of the conflict on the basis of the generally accepted norms and principles of international law, the policy and practice of the Republic of Armenia, the occupying Power, implemented inter alia through various illegal activities in the occupied territories of Azerbaijan, clearly testify to its intention to secure the annexation of these territories (see, for example, the most recent document circulated by Azerbaijan: A/64/760-S/2010/211).

An exception to the general rule deeming the defendant to have admitted any untraversed allegation of fact in the statement of claim should be created along the lines of CPR 16.5(3) so that a defendant who has adequately set out the nature of his case in relation to which the untraversed allegation is relevant, is deemed not to admit and to put the plaintiff to proof of such allegation.

We promoted community involvement in greening of 3 new PRH by introducing planting areas in master landscape layout plan in design stage.

The scope of the proposed planning and engineering studies for the “Three-in-One” Scheme and Hung Shui Kiu (HSK) NDA comprises the preparation of Recommended Outline Development Plans and Recommended Layout Plans, confirmation of the feasibility of implementing the NDAs, development of preliminary design of engineering works, formulation of implementation strategies for the NDAs, conducting of Environmental Impact Assessment, including Heritage Impact Assessment, for the NDA development and the associated engineering infrastructure, and implementation of the associated site investigation works.

Rules should be introduced (along the lines of CPR 1.4) listing available case management measures and conferring (along the lines of CPR 3.1) specific case management powers on the court, including power to act of its own motion, exercisable generally and (unless excluded) in addition to powers provided by specific rules, in the light of the underlying objectives referred to in Recommendation 2.
