The Commission welcomed the confirmation given by the Russian Federation that it would host the Asian and Pacific Energy Forum at the ministerial level in May 2013 in Vladivostok.

In continuing with the reorganization of camps in support of the Ouagadougou Political Agreement, the restoration of State administration, security enhancements and other infrastructure works carried out in 2008/09, the provision of hard wall and accommodation equipment for military contingents at troop redeployment sites in Adzope, Divo, Issia, Toulepleu (expansion), Bouna (relocation), is planned for 2009/10.

The ministerial-level Asian and Pacific Energy Forum, which is scheduled to be held in Vladivostok, Russian Federation, in May 2013, could provide the basis for a regional framework for energy connectivity and trade.

All documentation confirming compliance with the prohibitions and restrictions on imports to the territory of the Russian Federation must be submitted to the OHADA Customs post "Sea Port of Vladivostok" before the arrival of Ship in the port of Vladivostok.

The regional networks continued to progress: the East Asian Biosphere Reserve Network met in September 2001 in Vladivostock (Russian Federation); the ArabMAB Council met in Damascus (Syrian Arab Republic) in September 2001; the IberoMAB network also met in November in Formosa (Argentina); and the EuroMAB countries of South-East Europe met in Sinaia (Romania) in December 2001.

He has organized exhibitions since 1997 and is currently the Director of the Wattis Institute for Contemporary Arts at the California College of the Arts in San Francisco.

Under operational costs, the reduction of $405,400 in resource requirements is attributable to: (a) the cancellation of engineering projects under facilities and infrastructure, such as the construction of a new entrance at the Mission’s headquarters compound in Pristina; (b) restrictions in official travel, in particular for training and participation in conferences, purchasing tickets at least two weeks in advance and requesting United Nations agencies to participate in facilitation meetings on behalf of UNMIK in countries where United Nations agencies are present; (c) postponement of the planned outsourcing contract for heavy vehicles repair and maintenance under ground transportation; (d) lower actual expenditure related to training consultants and lower cost of travel for the consultants on the Human Rights Advisory Panel; and (e) reduced requirements for medical supplies (see A/66/777, para. 9).

The three missions in West Africa, UNOCI, UNMIL and the United Nations Integrated Peacebuilding Support Office in Sierra Leone (UNIPSIL) as well as the United Nations Office for West Africa (UNOWA), continue to work together and cooperate in a number of areas, including: joint border patrols with UNMIL to prevent cross-border movement of irregular armed groups and weapons; organizing joint training programmes between UNOCI and UNMIL, which are also attended by other missions; maintaining a terrestrial microwave connectivity with UNMIL in addition to establishing leased line connectivity to three major cities in Côte d’Ivoire to enhance service quality and speed and achieve savings from unused satellite bandwidth; and the sharing of air assets among the missions.
