Where the technology is being used in products being exported, the Implementing Agency should, in addition to this letter, seek the assurance of the exporter that the technology does not infringe on any intellectual property rights in any country to which the product will be exported and that the exporter will take all measures necessary to ensure that it has a license to any needed intellectual property right in all countries to which the product will be exported.

In addition, Tajikistan reported that it is preparing to conduct a needs assessment of landmine and other ERW victims in mine affected districts with the main goal being to establish a functional victim information system (VIS), which would comply with the Information Management System for Mine Action (IMSMA) standards and become a systematic and reliable mechanism at the district and oblast level.

In addition, many delegations expressed the view that the persistence of restrictive rules of origin and non-tariff trade barriers, such as standards and technical measures, as well as severe supply constraints and a trade-related infrastructure deficit, had prevented least developed countries from fully harnessing the gains associated with greater market access.

The Working Group notes that though the United Kingdom Government does not have any register for PMSCs, general estimates shared by the industry and experts indicate that there are some 40 United Kingdom-based PMSCs in the industry which operate internationally.
