Recognizing that all States Parties have a role to play, the Conference stresses that those States Parties seeking to build their capacity should identify their specific needs and requirements and seek partnerships with others, and that those States Parties, in a position to do so, should provide assistance and support.

In order to assist in planning the future of an unaccompanied or separated child in a manner that best protects his/her rights, relevant State and social service authorities should make all reasonable efforts to procure documentation and information in order to conduct an assessment of the child’s risk and social and family conditions in his/her country of habitual residence.

The Conference requests all States parties, particularly the nuclear-weapon States, the States of the Middle East and other interested States, to report through the United Nations Secretariat to the President of the 2005 Review Conference of the Parties to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons, as well as to the Chairperson of the Preparatory Committee meetings to be held in advance of that Conference, on the steps that they have taken to promote the achievement of such a zone [i.e., a Middle East zone free of nuclear weapons as well as other weapons of mass destruction]* and the realization of the goals and objectives of the 1995 resolution on the Middle East.

In addition, those institutions can work to target funding support from official development assistance towards programmes that recognize the substantial contributions of women to sustainable production and consumption patterns, that provide business training and technical support for women to encourage them to engage in green enterprises and that also help direct private investment flows into sustainable businesses run by women.
