The available reports on cement kilns provides data about performance with regard to the following specific compounds: trichloromethane (chloroform); dichloromethane (methylene chloride); carbon tetrachloride; 1,2-dichloroethane; 1,1,1-trichloroethane; trichloroethylene; tetrachloroethylene; 1,1,2-trichloro-1,2,2-trifluorethane (Freon 113); chlorobenzene; benzene; xylene; toluene; 1,3,5trimethylbenzene; methyl ethyl ketone; methyl isobutyl ketone; carbon hexafluorine; phenoxy acids; chlorinated hydrocarbons; chlorinated aliphatics; chlorinated aromatics; PCBs; and POPs pesticides.

In addition, these new products are free from alkylphenolethoxylates (APEOs) and contain only minute quantities of volatile organic compounds (VOCs).

Another advantage is that the dispersion is produced without the use of alkylphenol ethoxylates (APEOs), and contains very low levels of formaldehyde and vinyl acetate monomer (VAM).

These include methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA), methylenedioxyamphetamine (MDA), 3,4-methylenedioxyethylamphetamine (MDEA) and those drugs commonly sold as “ecstasy”, which may or may not contain MDMA or its analogues.

In 2009, significant quantities of precursor chemicals used to produce methylenedioxymethamphetamine (“ecstasy”) were seized in Guinea.

The decline was possibly the result of reduced availability of the precursors required for the manufacture of methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA, commonly known as “ecstasy”).

Australia and the Netherlands were the only countries that reported on form D seizures of 3,4-MDP-2-P, in limited volumes.

Theavailability ofmethylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA, commonly known as “ecstasy”) declined significantly between 2007 and 2009, possibly as a result of a shortage of the precursors necessary for its manufacture; while the available data for 2010 was inconclusive, some indicators suggest that the declining trend had stabilized, and possibly that availability had rebounded.

The detection constitutes the first incident involving this substance in the Netherlands and was followed by several seizures in the Netherlands and Slovakia. 3,4-MDP-2-P methyl glycidate was first detected and successfully characterized in Australia in 2004.
