It is Turkey’s refusal to uphold international law and legality coupled with her turning a deaf ear to United Nations Security Council resolutions that creates tension and threatens to provoke a crisis, and not the exercise of the legitimate sovereign rights of the Republic of Cyprus according to international law and in particular the 1982 Convention on the Law of the Sea.

Too many people shrug their shoulders and treat these terrible acts as an inevitable part of war, but it is precisely that myth of inevitability that stops people from acting.

Fifteen years after the vain demand that the 1995 resolution on the Middle East should be implemented, the 2010 Review Conference adopted a Final Document that included a full action plan, one of four such plans that were adopted by the Conference, which set forth practical steps for implementation of the 1995 resolution on the Middle East, which represents an important opportunity to underpin regional security and reflects the wish of the international community to maintain the credibility of the nuclear non-proliferation regime.

Undoubtedly, the international community is fully aware of the terrorist nature of this despicable cult and will not ignore the terrorist threats posed by it.
