During the visit to Baghdad of His Highness Sheikh Naser Al-Mohammad Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Prime Minister of the State of Kuwait, on 12 January, Kuwait and Iraq agreed to set up a joint ministerial committee under the chairmanship of the Minister for Foreign Affairs of our two countries to address outstanding issues between us.

On 12 January, the Prime Minister of Kuwait, Sheikh Naser Al-Mohammad Al-Almad Al-Sabah, and the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Mohammad Al-Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, arrived in Baghdad for a historic one-day visit, the first since the invasion of Kuwait by the former Iraqi regime.

At the same meeting, the panellist Mohammed Naciri made his concluding remarks.

The following October, the country held its first-ever multiparty democratic poll and elected Mr. Mohamed Nasheed, a former Amnesty Prisoner of Conscience, as its new President.

Mr. Mirza oversaw the construction of a bulletproof truck for Ms. Bhutto and her entourage to use in the planned procession from the Karachi airport to the mausoleum of Pakistan’s founder Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

The Committee urges the State party to provide information about the legal situation and physical and mental integrity of Muhannad Al-Hassani, as well as information about the ongoing trial of Haytham al-Maleh.

Najib, the Prime Minister of Malaysia, addressed to the Permanent Representative of Mexico as the current President of the Security Council (see annex).

The objective of the project is to help community forest user groups of the Mohana Kailali Corridor and the Western Terai Landscape Complex Project to conduct performance-based financial mechanisms in the project area.

With the assumption of Office on 11 November 2008, His Excellency President Mohamed Nasheed has embarked on an ambitious programme to decentralise the governance system of the Maldives, as addressed in the MDP’s election Manifesto.

Enormous crowds met her at the airport in Karachi and along the Sharea-e-Faisal highway, slowing the progress of her cavalcade to her destination at the mausoleum of Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the founder of Pakistan, where she had intended to deliver a speech.

We are proud that the Maldives is taking an active leadership role in this area, with President Mohamed Nasheed announcing earlier this year that the Maldives will strive to be carbon neutral by 2020.

In March 2009, under the direction of the new Government of Maldives which took office in November 2008, President Mohamed Nasheed declared that the administration’s vision was the Maldives to be a carbon-neutral country by 2020.
