Addressing the issue of outstanding contributions to the budget of the Tribunal, several delegations appealed to States in arrears to make their contributions promptly and in full.

The Conference requests States Parties to proceed with the payment of their share of the estimated costs as soon as the assessment notices have been received from the United Nations.

In that regard, Kenya especially welcomes Security Council resolution 1863 (2009) which, inter alia, provides a support package for the African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM), to be funded through assessed United Nations contributions and the establishment of a trust fund to allow for the funding of the force.

Actual assessed contributions received and the amounts assessed in accordance with General Conference decisions with comparative figures for the previous biennium are shown below in millions of euros.

On approval by the Assembly of an increase in the level of the Fund, the amount currently credited as miscellaneous income will be credited to the Fund as advances from members of the Authority, while the shortfall of US$ 105,327 would be made up by further advances from members of the Authority to be assessed in accordance with the agreed scale of contributions.

It was also agreed that, if the one-third/two-thirds formula was a fair assumption for the reimbursement of staffing costs, it should also be used for costs that had previously not been shared: general temporary assistance, computer, office space and audit costs.

The 3.9 percentage-point decrease is mainly due to higher cost of sales per unit mainly due to price escalations of materials and disruption costs in connection with changes in production rates, lower selling prices for business aircraft, the mix between business and commercial aircraft deliveries, lower margins for services activities, the net negative impact in other expense (income) from the revaluation of certain balance sheet accounts in foreign currencies at the balance sheet date, and higher write-down of inventories mainly due to lower market values for pre-owned aircraft; partially offset by liquidated damages from customers mainly as a result of business aircraft order cancellations, lower SG&A expenses mainly due to lower business aircraft deliveries, a net positive variance on financial instruments carried at fair value and recorded in other expense (income) and lower amortization expense due to the aerospace program tooling on some aircraft models being fully amortized.

In accordance with 30 C/Resolution 65, UNESCO assessed the contributions on Member States in euros – 61% of the budget calculated at the rate of $1 equal to 0.869 euros – and for the remainder in United States dollars.

Decides to apportion among Member States the amount of 449,855,000 United States dollars for the period from 1 January to 30 June 2009, in accordance with the updated levels approved by the General Assembl y in its resolution 61/243 of 22 December 2006, and taking into account the scale of assessments for 2009 as set out in its resolution 61/237 of 22 December 2006, in addition to the amount of 919,400,200 dollars already apportioned among Member States under the terms of resolution 62/232 B, comprising the amount of 849,855,000 dollars for the maintenance of the Operation for the period from 1 July to 31 December 2008, the amount of 60,624,500 dollars for the support account for peacekeeping operations for the period from 1 July 2008 to 30 June 2009, and the amount of 8,920,700 dollars for the United Nations Logistics Base at Brindisi, Italy, for the period from 1 July 2008 to 30 June 2009

The review recommended a number of fundamental changes, including (a) that the distinction between fixed and variable indirect costs no longer be used in calculating cost-recovery so that all indirect costs would be considered in calculating cost recovery; and (b) that development effectiveness activities and associated costs be directly funded from core and non-core resources, so that recovered costs would pay their proportional share of management and comparable special purpose costs (UNW/2012/13, paras. 2 and 11).

The present note is issued in accordance with the prorating procedures approved by the General Assembly in its resolution 50/221 B. The annex to the note reflects the resources to be approved by the General Assembly in respect of each peacekeeping mission, including the prorated shares of the support account and of the United Nations Logistics Base at Brindisi, Italy.

The Organization makes contributions on behalf of its staff (currently payable by the participant and FAO at 7.9% and 15.8%, respectively, of the staff member’s pensionable remuneration) and records its share of the contribution as expenditure within Staff costs.

In view of its own 30 C/Resolution 65 which stated that the UNESCO scale of assessments of Member States for 2001 shall be calculated on the basis of the scale adopted by the United Nations General Assembly at its fifty-fifth session with the same minimum rate and the same maximum rate, UNESCO applied the reduced maximum amount for 2001 and proposed scales calculated in a similar way for 2002-2003 to the 31st session of the General Conference.

(a) In order to properly determine the amount of contributions to be assessed and paid in euros for 2012-2013, the percentage of estimated expenditure in euros should be based on a study of euro requirements for the implementation of the programme for the current biennium together with projections of any changing pattern of expenditure expected in euros and United States dollars in the forthcoming biennium; the percentage of 57 per cent of Parts I to IV of the budget determined for assessment of contributions in euros for 2010-2011 may have to be revised accordingly.

Better alignment of university and state grant proposals with federal programs would allow the universities and states to leverage dollars proposed as part of the cost share in various proposals.

Retail Installment Sales Contract Balance (hereinafter “balance”) shall mean a monetary amount owed to the Dealer/Financial Institution/Lender by you as of the date of loss, but in no event greater than the outstanding Retail Installment Sales Contract Balance amortized at the Retail Installment Sales Contract term, but such amounts shall not exceed the maximum benefit limit percentage of 150% of MSRP or Established Retail Guide, as of the date of the Retail Installment Sales Contract. 7.
