Global analysis undertaken by the World Resources Institute showed that more than one quarter of the world’s active mines and exploration sites overlap with or are within a 10-kilometre radius of a strictly protected area; nearly one third of all active mines and exploration sites are located within areas of intact ecosystems of high conservation value; almost one third of all active mines are located in stressed watersheds; nearly one fifth of active mines and exploration sites are in areas of high or very high seismic hazard; and more than one third are in areas that may be predisposed to water quality problems.

Findings of the Survey have provided insight into the quality of our graduates at work, and have helped both the Government and the tertiary institutions to better understand the employers’ needs.

To create further opportunities to receive education for the ethnic and disadvantaged people, the Government pays attention to and has adopted, for example, measures on the promotion of education of ethnic people in remote areas by establishing primary and secondary ethnic schools and schools for orphans in all provinces.

If IP Telephony is considered as a telecommunications service, a related issue is whether it should be given the same obligations (i.e. universal service obligation (USO) and consumer protection) and rights (i.e. interconnection rights and availability of numbering resources) commonly accorded to operators of traditional telephony services.

In this declaration, Member States committed to clear targets to ensure that by 2015 no more children will be born with HIV, to close the global resource gap for AIDS and to work towards increasing funding to between $22 billion and $24 billion by 2015, to increase universal access to antiretroviral therapy to get 15 million people onto life-saving treatment by 2015, to reduce tuberculosis deaths among people living with HIV by 50 per cent, and to reduce the transmission of HIV among people who inject drugs by 50 per cent.

Every school site that has 21 or more English Learners must have an ELAC.

In particular, it welcomes the introduction of “high schools of excellence” in disadvantaged neighbourhoods, individual attention for some pupils with problems, “boarding schools of excellence” and preparatory classes for the grandes écoles for students from disadvantaged backgrounds on the basis of merit.

This article establishes the measures to be taken to enable persons with disabilities to attain and maintain maximum independence, full physical, mental, social and vocational ability, and full inclusion and participation in all aspects of life through comprehensive habilitation and rehabilitation programmes in the areas of health, employment, education and social services.
