UNESCO helped prepare that document by acting as lead agency for the Working Group on Education.

Major Programme I will continue to strengthen stakeholders’ commitment to and UNESCO’s leadership of EFA through enhanced coordination at the national, regional and global levels.

With your permission, Mr. President, as co-lead with the United States of the Khartoum leg of the Security Council mission, I will now turn to the meetings the mission held there.

This concentration of effort has also enabled UNESCO to regain a degree of international “leadership” in these five fields, as is witnessed by, inter alia: the recognition (gradual and difficult, but real) of its role of general coordinator of the Education for All movement, after Dakar (April 2000); recognition, too, of its primary responsibility for the evaluation and monitoring of the state of water resources worldwide; its role as “lead agency” for all questions relating to bioethics within the United Nations system; its role of principal authority, in both normative and operational terms (in Afghanistan, Iraq and elsewhere), with respect to the preservation of the cultural heritage; lastly, its role as the unique institution promoting dialogue, between government and civil society, in all matters relating to the defence of freedom of expression and the organization of knowledge societies.

Timely communication over problems and proper resolution will also help maintain the good results of the TNR work.

Filippo Veglio, Business Solutions Leader of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development pointed out that the business sector is part of the solution to development challenges.

The system provides guidance to practitioners, manages the improvement agenda for practice leads and links to practice knowledge-sharing systems.

UNICEF’s co-leadership of the education cluster in 52 countries and its joint collaboration in the steering committee of the Global Coalition to Protect Education from Attack were pivotal to enhancing the capacity of education sector partners to effectively respond to emergencies.

The Steering Committee is jointly headed by two secretaries: the Ministry for Population and Environment and the Ministry for Industry, Commerce and Supplies.

After receiving the TNR application from the public, the next step is to contact the applicants one by one through e-mail or face-to-face meetings to give an overall introduction of the programme, including the TNR work requirements, all the kinds of help you can provide to them and the feedback required.

In addition to the sincere and unremitting care of cats, after receiving a series of necessary training, the community TNR program leader can undertake all the community TNR work including; trapping, neutering and release, the recruitment of new volunteers in the community and initiating fund-raising for the sterilization of stray cats in the community.
