To further minimise the generation of construction waste we will encourage the contractor to maximise the use of recycled or recyclable inert construction waste, as well as the use of non-timber formwork.

By capturing and codifying the knowledge gained through these programmes, the project aims at building a corpus of knowledge which may serve as a reference for the entire United Nations system and the development community at large.

Others underlined the importance of the results-based programming and management approach and the rolling nature of the C/4 document, which would allow a continuous evolution of and adjustments to the Medium-Term Strategy.

On the time frame of the documents, a few respondents argued in favour of the need to continue with the present two-year budget cycle while making the C/4 a rolling document that would be revised every two years so as to be adapted as necessary in response to changing circumstances.
