On 12 April 2011, in her statement to clarify certain aspects during the informal consultations, the Coordinator, Ms. Maria Telalian (Greece), noting that the negotiations on the draft convention had lasted for more than 10 years, observed that good progress had been made during the past few years on certain important aspects, including the compilation of a consolidated text of the draft articles of the convention during the last session of the Working Group of the Sixth Committee.
