At its sixty-fourth session, the General Assembly requested the Scientific Committee to continue its work, including its important activities to increase knowledge of the levels, effects and risks of ionizing radiation from all sources; requested the Scientific Committee to continue at its next session the review of the important questions in the field of ionizing radiation and to report thereon to the Assembly at its sixty-fifth session; and resolved to take a decision on the membership of the Scientific Committee once a decision on resource allocation had been made and after the fifty-seventh session of the Scientific Committee but no later than the end of the sixty-fourth session of the General Assembly (resolution 64/85).

This voltage regulator takes over control while all other follower voltage regulators comply with the control commands of the master.

These databases, including the Programme for Infrastructure Development in Africa geospatial database, the African Climate Policy Centre’s climate change activities database and its agricultural commodity value-chain database and interface, form the core of the African Regional Spatial Data Infrastructure, with dedicated online applications and streamlined electronic delivery of products and services for targeted sectors including agriculture, climate change, carbon sequestration, water resources management and natural disasters and other regional challenges.

The plug must be plugged into an outlet that is properly installed and grounded in accordance with all local codes and ordinances.

Economic, social and cultural rights and fundamental freedoms introduced or strengthened under the new Constitution include, inter alia: the right to adequate, nutritious food and clean water; the right to adequate housing; the right to a good standard of health; adequate access to sewerage and electricity; the right to marriage and family; the right to education; the right to work; the right to strike; the right to enjoy a pension; the right to take part in cultural life; and the right to enjoy property.

With its rule-based approach, selecting the right drive, motor, cables, I/O connectors, and other accessory items is fast and error free.

It is worth mentioning that, as a non-resident agency and in the face of inadequate financial resources and staff to carry out missions to participate in the numerous meetings, UNESCO’s participation in meetings of the UNCTs, UNSTs and various United Nations theme and joint groups (outside of the ones in Jamaica) is limited, and done mainly through e-mail contributions and teleconference (where possible).

This product is for use on a nominal 120V circuit and has a grounding plug similar to the plug illustrated in the figure below.

From the Group’s perspective, Transit Interarmées played a negative role in the enforcement of the embargo because Ivorian customs had no control over its import of equipment for the Ministry of Defence, and the Group was already aware that, at a minimum, vehicles (see annex VIII of S/2011/272), telecommunication and military material were being imported through Transit Interarmées for military use, thus representing a clear breach of the sanctions regime.

The net decrease reflects reductions under most objects of expenditure, including $242,800 under consultants, mainly as a consequence of the increased use of in-house expertise, where possible; $104,700 under experts, resulting mainly from concerted efforts to combine meetings or reduce the number of experts and the duration of meetings, whenever possible; $121,200 under travel of staff, mainly attributable to increased utilization of video conferencing, combining trips and/or reducing the duration of travel as much as possible; $460,800 under contractual services, primarily owing to increased utilization of electronic means of disseminating publications; $111,000 under furniture and equipment, reflecting reduced requirements for the replacement of furniture and office equipment resulting from extending the lifespan of furniture and equipment; and $781,600 under grants and contributions, mainly owing to the termination of the contract with the International Computing Centre.

The issues touched upon by the Special Rapporteur in his observations include extractive and development projects involving natural resources taking place in indigenous peoples’ territories, including mining and hydroelectric projects; threats to indigenous peoples’ sacred places or areas of cultural significance owing to competing interests on those same lands; removals of indigenous peoples from their traditional lands and territories; and the development of national laws and policies that might result in negative impacts on the lives of indigenous peoples.

Such risks and uncertainties include, but are not limited to, lack of market adoption for Leadis' capacitive touch controller ICs or the haptics technology, delays in ramping these new products into production, delays in the integration of our products into consumer electronic devices, our reliance on third-party manufacturers, general portable electronics and semiconductor industry trends, and other risks detailed from time to time in Leadis' reports filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission including its Form 10-K for the year ended December 31, 2007 and Form 10-Q for the quarter ended September 30, 2008.

As part of the e-Morocco national strategy, drawn up by the Government of Morocco, the Rabat Office is providing support to the programmes being implemented by the Minister of Economic and General Affairs in the field of e-government, and has funded a roadmap on local governance in Morocco with a view to collecting information on all local e-govenance initiatives in the country, identifying and analysing similar programmes in other countries, and analysing and summarizing the strengths and weaknesses of those initiatives.

In the developing world, mobile telephones are addressing two of the major access issues, namely the investment costs for terminals and the “getting started” costs of digital literacy as preconditions for the use of digital services.

The Commission was also informed that Thailand was expanding its broadband network under its ―Smart Thailand‖ strategy and increasing wireless Internet connectivity in public areas and remote areas where fibre-optic networks were not yet available.

But with the IGEL devices we simply connect two display screens to the thin client with a Y-cable and it can run both applications simultaneously, saving us time and power.

The report also noted that member States voiced support for the following steps to be taken: (a) further streamlining the number of documents and their contents; (b) further consolidating reports; for example, committee reports could serve as background or information documents, with only the key recommendations from each committee session compiled into its own document for consideration by the Commission; (c) producing reports that are concise, direct and easy to understand, and directly related to the outcome of the meeting, containing the necessary references and links to background documents and reflecting consensus and recommendations; and (d) moving towards a paperless Commission session by ensuring that all documents are available online and that no more than two sets of documents are printed and sent to each member State, including one in the official language of its preference, and notifying member States via e-mail of the availability of the documents online.b 4.

Compared to conventional torque motors, the segment design offers the greatest possible economic efficiency and convinces users because of its high speeds and easy maintenance.

The mistreatment consisted, inter alia, of punches or kicks to different parts of the body or blows with weapons, as well as electrical shocks, burns, spraying with pepper gas, or suffocation with plastic bags.

The proposed budget of the Logistics Base for the period from 1 July 2010 to 30 June 2011 (A/64/698) was $72,017,800, which was 24.3 per cent higher than the resources approved for 2009/10, reflecting an increase in staffing, mainly to strengthen the Standing Police Capacity, establish a Justice and Corrections Standing Capacity and relocate the Field Central Review Board secretariat; additional requirements for construction services to create equipment room and office space for Communications and Information Technology Services and the data centre and network communications centre and to upgrade the electrical system at the Logistics Base; and additional requirements to acquire communications and information technology equipment for the secondary telecommunications facility at Valencia.

(b) and includes any component part of any weapon mentioned in paragraph (a) (i) or (ii), any accessory to any such weapon designed or adapted to diminish the noise or flash caused by firing the weapon and any explosive-operated power tool, ramset, hilt or fire nail fastener operated by pneumatic pressure; (c) but does not include an article designed or adapted solely to discharge a spear for spearing fish.

These included the following observations: that since the Rules provide not only for arbitration but for negotiation and facilitated settlement as well, care should be taken not to render those aspects of the Rules inapplicable, particularly where the vast majority of cases are disposed of at the stages prior to arbitration; that to the extent the proposal purports to state a rule of substantive law its presence in a set of contractual rules may be problematic; that consideration could be given to re-casting the Rules as facilitated settlement rules rather than arbitration rules and thus avoiding the problem that the proposal is intended to address; and that the intended result might be achieved by using wording found in a note to Article 1 of the UNCITRAL Model Law on Electronic Commerce to the effect that its provisions are not intended to derogate from legal norms aimed at consumer protection.

TRIPLES ATHENS 2004... 20-TIMES ATLANTA 1996: The more than 3,600 total hours of coverage from Beijing triples the previous record of 1,210 total hours of coverage on NBC from Athens in 2004, is 20 times more than the 171 total hours on NBC from Atlanta in 1996 and 180 times greater than the 20 total hours for the inaugural U.S. Olympic broadcast on CBS from Rome in 1960.

The Subcommittee was informed by the observer for EUTELSAT-IGO about the outcome of the 2012 World Radiocommunication Conference, the work of the Broadband Commission for Digital Development, established by the Secretary-General of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and the Director-General of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization in 2010 with the aim of accelerating the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals in that field, and the agreement of the thirty-seventh meeting of the EUTELSAT Assembly of Parties in 2011 to provide regular reports to the parties on repeated deliberate interference on several radio and television channels broadcast via EUTELSAT satellites, stressing that since the previous such report there had been a large increase in such interference.

Those issues included: enabling legislation; information sharing, data protection and confidentiality; organizational issues; liability of single window facility operators; competition law; use of electronic documents; intellectual property rights; data retention and limits on re-use of data, including for evidentiary purposes; mutual recognition of electronic and digital signatures (including through identity management systems); and electronic transfer of rights in goods.
