Assistance was provided to a number of African museums, including the African Council of Museums, and Gender equality was explicitly addressed through Viet Nam’s Gender Analysis conducted at museums in three provinces.

to act as a relay for the action of the World Heritage Centre and its partners in the Arab States region by federating regional energies around the conservation, promotion and presentation of the region’s cultural and natural heritage, in order to increase balanced representation of Arab States properties on the World Heritage List, promote better protection and management of such World Heritage properties, mobilize regional and international financial support for these purposes, and raise awareness of World Heritage in the region.

The self-government executes tasks in the following scope: public education, health promotion and protection, environmental protection, modernising the rural areas, public roads, collective transport, land development, culture, social welfare, tourism, counteracting unemployment and activating the local labour market.

In particular, although the focus of the project is for water allocation policy in the major river basins, in particular the development of allocation principles for the allocation of water between provinces, the considerations will need to encompass how allocation is then practices at lower levels and whether the allocation between sectors is workable at all administrative levels.
