The implementation of many approved initiatives have involved the participation of staff across all Faculties, including the design and development of the Common Core Curriculum, workshops for developing CLOs and assessment standards, the establishment of an Assessment Resources Centre (AR@HKU), and the formulation of and follow-up on programme-specific action plans to take forward issues identified in the HKUSLEQ and TPGLEQ.

(e) To build, construct, alter, maintain, enlarge, pull down, remove or replace, and to work, manage and control any buildings, offices, factories,mills,shops, machinery, engines, roads, ways, tramways, railways, branches or sidings bridges, reservoirs, watercourses, wharves, electric works and other works and conveniences which may seem calculated directly or indirectly to advance the interests of the Company, and to join with any other person or company in dong any of these things.

To facilitate the food trade to understand and comply with the new scheme, the CFS has also conducted a number of trade facilitation measures, including the distribution of Technical Guidance Notes on Nutrition Labelling and Nutrition Claims, uploaded frequently asked questions (FAQs) onto the CFS website, set up telephone enquiry service for the trade, developed a web-based nutrition label calculator and organised workshops forthe local trade.

In the Medical Services Section, the establishment of 15 additional national posts (6 National Officers and 9 national General Service staff) is proposed, as the Section has over the past years expanded the services it provides, which include round-the-clock operation of the UNOCI headquarters clinic, which is now functioning at level I-plus rather than the previous level I; patients are followed up at their homes after discharge from level III hospitals; patients are regularly visited in the 11 level III hospitals in Abidjan and in Sector West and Sector East; doctors in the regional headquarters perform outreach activity by visiting remote offices twice a week; support is provided to the Government during important functions and to the United Nations country team as part of the United Nations integrated framework; and medical support is proposed to be provided eight hours a day at the logistics base in Koumassi as opposed to the current two hours a day.

Mr. Janneh stressed that trade was indeed the most important engine for development for Africa in many ways, although the continent faced serious obstacles, such as limited supply capacity, limited trade-related infrastructure and credit availability, a lack of diversification and difficult geography, including 15 landlocked countries, so that the cost of trade could reach 50 per cent of goods value, as in the caseof Chad.

Should a breach of an international obligation be committed by a State in this capacity, the State would not incur international responsibility under thepresent article, but rather under the articles on the responsibility of States for internationally wrongful acts.
