During the Security Council briefing on the item “Threats to international peace and security caused by terrorist acts”, the President of Azerbaijan made an unsuccessful attempt to lay its own responsibility for links with terrorist groups on others, being the leader of a country that actively used thousands of mercenaries closely linked to notoriousinternational terrorist networks in its war aimed at the annihilation of the people of Nagorno-Karabakh.
