At its fifth and sixth meetings on 6 October 2005, the Commission examined the following five items: 8.1 “Draft international convention against doping in sport”, 5.3 “Implementation of 32 C/Resolution 54 concerning educational and cultural institutions in the occupied Arab territories”, 5.24 “Proposed establishment of the International Centre for Girls’ and Women’s Education in Africa (CIEFFA) under the auspices of UNESCO, in Ouagadougou (Burkina Faso)”, 5.8 “Cooperation between UNESCO and OECD in drafting guidelines on ‘Quality Provision in Cross-Border Higher Education’”, and 5.23 “Preliminary report on the desirability and scope of an international charter on traditional games and sports”.

In particular, the Meeting was informed that the Summit, through its Beijing Declaration, had (a) noted that the Global Earth Observation System of Systems (GEOSS) data-sharing implementation guidelines and action plan and the establishment of the operational GEOSS common infrastructure significantly improved access to global Earth observation data and resources; (b) endorsed the refined GEO targets, aligned with the 10-year implementation plan; (c) urged all Governments and organizations to sustain and enhance both in situ and space-based observation systems; and (d) called on international organizations and donor agencies to further contribute to the implementation of GEOSS.

The purpose of this criteria is to make suppliers well aware and thoroughly understood of the intention of Ricoh Group to obtain information of and control the status of chemical substances contained in a part or material constituting Ricoh Group brand products, and to ban or reduce the use of environmentally sensitive chemical substances, for the ultimate goal of reducing the impact of Ricoh products as a whole on the environment.

There are two strategic priorities in its implementation: the development of human resources and general access to basic services, as well as the promotion of harmonious and balanced local development.

Guidelines for the reduction of damage to health caused by alcohol have also been prepared to take relevant measures.

An evidence-based appraisal of the implementation of the Brussels Programme of Action for the Least Developed Countries for the Decade 2001-2010 confirms that a more strategic, comprehensive, and sustained approach based on ambitious, focused and realistic commitments is required to bring about structural transformation in least developed countries that fosters accelerated, sustained, inclusive and equitable economic growth and sustainable development and helps least developed countries meet long-standing as well as emerging challenges.

OHCHR required only very general guidelines to be able to continue with its work, and although no agreement had been reached thus far, she hoped that delegations would continue to work constructively on that issue and find a compromise that addressed delegations’ genuine concerns while sending a clear signal of support for the very important work of OHCHR.

The Country accepts that, by its acceptance of this Agreement and performance by the Executive Committee of its funding obligations described in paragraph 3 and consistent with existing MLF policies and guidelines, it is precluded from applying for or receiving further funding from the Multilateral Fund in respect to the Substances.

The Committee recalls that pursuant to General Assembly resolution 59/276, the Secretary-General submitted a report (A/60/695) in which he outlined the proposed scope, concept and revised course of action for standardized access control at all main locations of the Organization, to be implemented in two phases.

Participants further acknowledged the importance of both formal and non-formal education; formal education helps to give clear pedagogical guidelines, while non-formal education supports the formal setting.

The European Union also remains ready to engage in substantive discussion on the other items that were included in document CD/1864: practical steps for progressive and systematic efforts to reduce nuclear weapons with the ultimate goal of their elimination, including approaches towards potential future work of a multilateral character; all issues related to the prevention of an arms race in outer space; effective international arrangements to assure non-nuclear-weapon States against the use or threat of use of nuclear weapons; and other issues on the Conference on Disarmament agenda.

UN-Women, through the former UNIFEM, has been a close observer/partner with the United Nations and NGOs in the IASC and its work to strengthen gender equality guidelines for humanitarian emergencies and has worked closely with other United Nations organizations — particularly UNDP, UNFPA, and UNICEF — to respond to issues related to women’s rights in specific humanitarian contexts, such as the floods and earthquake in Pakistan and the United Nations response to the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake and tsunami.

(a) The training provided for medical personnel involved with detainees on the guidelines to detect and document signs of torture and ill-treatment in accordance with international standards, such as those outlined in the Manual on the Effective Investigation and Documentation of Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment (Istanbul Protocol).

Organization-wide policy guidelines, procedures and standards, covering publications, web publishing, and other communications, in the six official UN languages as well as other national languages when possible, will help ensure that WIPO information materials meet standards of quality, impact and need.

In order to secure these common objectives, the members of the Action Group (a) identified steps and measures by the parties to secure the full implementation of the six-point plan and Security Council resolutions 2042 (2012) and 2043 (2012), including an immediate cessation of violence in all its forms; (b) agreed on principles and guidelines for a political transition that meets the legitimate aspirations of the Syrian people; and (c) agreed on actions that they would take to implement the objectives in support of the Joint Special Envoy’s efforts to facilitate a Syrian-led political process.
