The Palestinian people are exasperated by the fact that [...] [...]

Arabs are not only frustrated with the failure of the Council earlier this year to pronounce itself on the illegality of all Israeli settlements in the occupied Palestinian territory, but they are also outraged that, two years after the adoption of resolution 1860 (2009), Israel continues its illegal and immoral blockade of the Gaza Strip and its repeated attacks against its civilian population.

A little more than a year ago, reacting to a police officer’s action that could be described as unremarkable, a young Tunisian chose to set himself on fire in order to express his anger, or rather his despair, at continuing to live in a society where inequality was increasingly prevalent and where shameless displays of wealth existed side by side with rampant poverty.

On 18 March, the President of the Council delivered remarks to the press, expressing the indignation of Council members at UNOCI reports of brutal attacks against unarmed civilians allegedly committed by the Ivorian Defence and Security Forces at a market in Abobo, Abidjan, on 17 March and condemning violence committed by an Ivorian party against unarmed civilians.

Movements from the “Arab Spring” to the “indignados” to the “occupy” movements are each expressing discontent with political and economic systems and calling for justice and equity.

The Republic of Azerbaijan strongly protests against an attempt to promote the illegal separatist entity, which in reality is none other than a product of aggression and outrageous manifestation of ethnic differentiation.

In June 2009, the violent dispersal by the military against the peaceful blockade by indigenous peoples in Bagua, Peru, who were asserting their legitimate concerns, elicited strong outrage and condemnation from the Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues and a wide range of civil society groups around the world.

In response to comments by Canada, Syria expressed its consternation at the hostility demonstrated towards Syria and questioned what the real intention was behind its calls for reforms and human rights, noting that it had rejected all calls for human rights for the Palestinian people and shown itself hostile to the pride and dignity of developing nations.

It is high time for the international community, including the Security Council, to hold Israel responsible for all such deplorable acts of defiance of the law and for its continuing obstruction of the attainment of peace and security in our region of the world, for which we are all exerting tireless efforts.

It is legitimate to recall these events in the light of the recent scandalous ruling of the judges of the European Court of Appeals, which freed a Kosovo Albanian terrorist who had been sentenced by an UNMIK court in June 2008 to 40 years in prison for blowing up a bus in 2001.

These rights and principles have been invoked by thousands of petitioners, including Muslim, Christian and Jewish personalities from around the world, who have voiced their outrage and their opposition to Israel’s immoral, unethical and illegal actions in the Ma’man Allah Cemetery.

Affirms that the Human Rights Council shall promote universal respect for all religious and cultural values and address instances of intolerance, discrimination and incitement of hatred against members of any community or adherents of any religion, as well as the means to consolidate international efforts in order to combat impunity for such deplorable acts

Therefore, it cannot remain unresolved; the international community must act urgently to heal this bleeding wound.

[...] [...] vent their pain and anger if the employer [...]

At the same time, our country categorically rejects foreign intervention, be it direct or through support for irregular armed groups and the promotion of violent attacks that only sow destruction and escalate the death toll.

It is telling that the representative of Azerbaijan, voicing his indignation at the dissemination of a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Nagorny Karabakh, does not refute a single one of the facts enunciated in that statement.

Expresses its sorrow and indignation at the tragic events of 11 September 2001 in the United States of America and the enormous loss of human life, destruction and damage affecting world peace and security.

Those deplorable attacks are not isolated incidents, but rather part of the deliberate agenda of extremist settlers and their supporters in the Government to terrorize the Palestinian people, make their living conditions unbearable, and remove them from their land.
