The 2012 Review Conference should provide the occasion for Member States to assess thoroughly the level of implementation of the Programme of Action, 11 years after its adoption, to consider its adequacy to respond to threats related to small arms and light weapons and to take the right decisions to further improve the Programme of Action and speed up its implementation.
